Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements

Hawkins maintains a set of standards that we expect subcontractors and suppliers to comply with to keep everyone safe. You can download the PDF below to find out more about our Minimum Standards that we expect everyone to meet on our sites.

These cover amongst other things:

  • Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Site entry requirements (Site Safe Passports and induction)
  • Hawkins site specific safety planning requirements
  • Safe working requirements e.g. Permits, PPE

Importantly, Hawkins restrict certain tools, plant and equipment on our sites. Some tools may require a permit to use. You can find out more about these requirements by reviewing this handy guide on safe tools and equipment.

What happens when you arrive to work on a Hawkins site?

All workers and visitors to a Hawkins will be inducted onto the site. A HSE induction involves receiving information about how to stay safe on site as well as the environmental protection measures, we have in place. You will also be asked to complete some details on yourself to complete our induction.
