Huge congratulations to Sam Gordon who won the Mates in Construction Projects $40-$65M Award for Foodstuffs North Island Head Office.
For Foodstuffs, the driving principles were to bring its people together into a sustainable and efficient workplace that cultivates collaboration, connectivity, and well-being. Sam embraced all these principles during the construction, which generated a strong team culture. Sam exceeded expectations and through his approachable and calm leadership, was able to champion a culture of teamwork and instil a positive working environment; motivating the wider project team to successfully complete the building ahead of the programme in a challenging construction market.
“It’s great to be recognised by the NZ Building Industry Awards for the success of the Foodstuff’s North Island Head Office Project. This was a really unique project with great architecture, and sustainable principles at the forefront and was delivered via a mixture of good planning, hard work, and a great team. I am really proud of what was achieved by the project team” – Sam Gordon.
We are beyond proud of our epic team of ten finalists. We also extend our congratulations to Craig Wilson, Jason Carnie and Rhys McKenzie who all won Highly Commended in their categories on the night too.
