A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the successful delivery of Tōtara Haumaru, North Shore Hospital. As the main contractor on the project, we were very proud to see the building officially open late last month.
Since commencing on site in 2021, teams have been dedicated to constructing the modern healthcare facility. It boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including eight operating theatres, four endoscopy procedure rooms, and extensive inpatient wards designed to provide advanced medical care. The addition of Aotearoa’s first indoor healing garden provides a calming space for patients and their whānau.
Hawkins Project Director Phillip Helleur said “It was a fantastic working in collaboration with the client Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, our subcontracting partners, and project teams at Precon Project Management, RLB Rider Levett Bucknall, Jasmax, Beca, and Aurecon. Thank you to the Hawkins team on site for your hard work and commitment to deliver a significant health care facility for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland”.
