Accreditations & Policies

The principal aim of the "Hawkins Blueprint "is to provide a consistent high quality product.

This means the product must meet or exceed the client’s specification and be delivered or produced on time. It must comply with all the regulatory authorities, particularly the Resource Management Act and Building Act, and be constructed using the Building Act’s specified standards of workmanship. Projects must also comply with the Health and Safety in Employment Act.

The company blueprint comprises a set of standards covering administration; health safety & environment; project management; project quality control and tendering to ensure that the company’s objectives are met. Hawkins has developed procedures in each of these standards, which will assist all personnel throughout Hawkins to understand what is required of them and how their contribution and commitment results in an efficient and profitable organisation capable of delivering the desired product to the client.

The company has adopted key project goals in each area of quality, safety, time and cost that are required to be achieved to ensure a successful project, and also five guiding principles to reflect the manner in which the company desires to do business.

The project goals are also used as the targets for continual improvement of staff performance. The "Hawkins Blueprint "is for the benefit of all people associated with Hawkins Construction Limited. To achieve this efficiency the commitment and support of all employees is required.

The "Hawkins Blueprint "has been certified by Telarc New Zealand as conforming to the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) model for Quality Systems AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004.
